Description: Seeking mental health services within the Asian American community is often hindered by cultural barriers, social stigma, and the quest to "honor" our families. Learn how Youth members of our community can overcome these stigmas through avenues of empowerment by Robina Niaz, founder of Turning Point.

Robina Niaz

Turning Points

Robina Niaz, MS, MSW, was born and raised in Pakistan and migrated to the United States in 1990. She is the founder and Executive Director of Turning Point for Women and Families, the first non-profit to address domestic violence in New York City's Muslim community. Turning Point also has a Youth Program focusing on Muslim girls and young women.
